Letter from GlobalPlatform’s Executive Director

Welcome back to those returning from summer vacations! We look forward to your re-engagement with the organization’s activities leading up to our fall all member meetings in Madrid.

In August, our Seoul technical workshop hosted many interesting and valuable discussions around the development and implementation of secure component and device technologies. My thanks our presenters, and to all who attended making the event such a success.

We also published a new eBook showcasing the Device Trust Architecture (DTA) framework, alongside a thought-provoking new animation.

In addition, 20th anniversary celebration preparations are in full swing with exciting announcements expected shortly, so watch this space!

DTA for IoT Device Manufacturers

GlobalPlatform has published an animation and eBook to explain the benefits of DTA to IoT device manufacturers.

Both provide an easily digestible overview of the challenges facing IoT device manufacturers and how they can leverage the framework to secure the connected ecosystem.

Topics explored include:

  • Navigating digital security in a connected world;
  • Why insecure devices pose a problem;
  • Why secure devices make good business sense for device manufacturers;
  • How device manufacturers can protect themselves and their customers;
  • Device Trust Architecture;
  • The role of GlobalPlatform.

In addition, the event also fostered some interesting and valuable conversations around secure component and device technologies and the need to secure our connected world.

For those unable to attend, there is still time to register for our upcoming Shenzhen and Tokyo workshops later this month.
