GlobalPlatform Brings Training Sessions to Paris

8 September 2014 – GlobalPlatform, the association which standardizes the management of applications on secure chip technology, will be hosting its latest card specification and contactless training sessions in Paris at the Relais Spa Paris-Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, from 14-16 October 2014. The course delivers a comprehensive explanation of the GlobalPlatform Specifications and demonstrates the benefits of managing secure chip applications in a standardized environment.

The two-day card specification training session on 14-15 October, will educate delegates on how GlobalPlatform Specifications support the secure deployment and management of multiple applications on secure chip technology. Working across GlobalPlatform’s standardized infrastructure, the training will also deliver a detailed explanation of the most recent amendments to GlobalPlatform Card Specification v2.2.

The one-day session, taking place on 16 October, is dedicated to the role of GlobalPlatform Specifications in relation to contactless-enabled services on mobile platforms. Topics to be covered include mobile equipment architecture and trusted service manager (TSM) messaging. The training will also feature use cases which illustrate the usage of GlobalPlatform messages for given processes and defined business models. Delegates are advised to attend the two-day card specification course before attending the more advanced contactless session.

Kevin Gillick, Executive Director of GlobalPlatform, comments: “We are always eager to accommodate regional market demand for training on the management of multiple embedded applications on secure chip technology. We relish our role in educating delegates on the business benefits gained from implementing highly specified and standardized technology in this market.”

To ensure good interaction between the instructor and students, places are limited and interested parties are advised to register promptly at https://globalplatform.wpengine.com/trainingopen.asp.
