Dear GlobalPlatform Member,
As we move into April, our focus turns to the upcoming Spring Member Meeting in Bangkok. In this edition, we highlight what to expect in Bangkok and provide opportunities for you to engage with other GlobalPlatform initiatives in the months ahead.
Spring Member Meeting – 20-24 April – Bangkok
This is a key opportunity for our community to come together from across the region and around the world to advance practical approaches to meeting evolving cybersecurity and regulatory requirements. There will be sessions across the committees, task forces and working groups. More specifically, the Digital Wallet Task Force will be exploring securing payments and digital currencies, and we will hold the first in-person meeting of the new Hardware Security Module (HSM) sub-task force and the SESIP Committee and PSA Certified working group will be meeting to work on expanding the adoption of these security certifications.
Additionally, as a means of engaging with the wider Asian ecosystem, we are hosting some special sessions at the Spring Meeting. Attendance is open to members and non-members, in person or virtually.

GlobalPlatform Trainings
We have a full calendar of training opportunities planned throughout 2026, including Secure Element for EUDI, Secure Element for Developers (Java Card), and Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) Training. We are also looking to introduce a SESIP training later this year. As you explore the upcoming sessions, we encourage you to share relevant trainings with your colleagues. Digital Wallet Seminar - October 15, 2026
We are pleased to announce that the 4th annual Digital Wallet Seminar will take place on 15 October 2026 in Brussels. This event continues to explore a topic that is rapidly shaping the future of digital interactions. This year’s seminar will feature an in-depth exploration of digital wallet technologies, standards, and security best practices, with a focus on digital identity, digital payments, and central bank currencies. We are actively seeking topic and speaking submissions from leaders in the digital identity and payments ecosystem.
Finally, as a reminder, the member survey is open until April 30th. Your feedback is important to ensure we continue to focus on the work, strategic initiatives, and benefits that you value most.
