Eric Verheul is Professor of Financial Cybersecurity at Radboud University. He is also the founder of Wellet, where he works on a cryptographic design for HSM-based wallets providing strong user PIN authentication that is publicly verifiable and therefore non-repudiable. The design also resolves a remote signing problem that has been open since 1999 and uses standard HSM functionality.

Benoît Léger-Derville is a digital identity and cybersecurity expert, contributing to the implementation of France Identité’s EUDI Wallet. At Stelau, he is responsible for the specification and development of the Wallet Secure Cryptographic Application (WSCA) and Wallet Secure Cryptographic Device (WSCD), focusing on secure cryptographic operations and compliance with European digital identity requirements.

Nicolas Chalanset is a digital identity and cybersecurity expert, leading technical and security activities for France Identité’s EUDI Wallet implementation. Founder of Stelau, he actively contributes to international standardization efforts, including ISO/IEC and OpenID Foundation working groups. His work focuses on secure digital credentials, interoperability, and the implementation of European digital identity standards.

Vedran Lalic is a Lead Consultant in Fime’s digital identity practice, where he leads work on certification and EUDI wallets and advises governments and industry. Previously, he served as the European Parliament’s lead technical negotiator on the eIDAS revision, helping shape the European Digital Identity Framework and the foundations of the EUDI Wallet. He then advised governments on digital identity strategies and wallets at the World Bank before joining Fime. His work connects policy, technology and implementation, with a focus on interoperability, trust and making digital identity work across borders.

Claire Deprez-Pipon is Digital Identity Lead at EPI, with over 10 years of experience in authentication, payments, identity and security. She previously held senior product leadership roles at Worldline and now drives EPI’s European digital identity strategy, while representing the company in the EUDI Wallet Large Scale Pilots APTITUDE and WE BUILD, as well as other international initiatives shaping trusted digital transactions across Europe.

Vasile Granaci leads go-to-market and is a founding member of Glide Identity, which uses the SIM in every phone to replace SMS codes with cryptographic authentication. He has spent two decades building revenue at the meeting point of telecoms, communications APIs and digital identity, working at Bloomberg, Nexmo (acquired by Vonage), MessageBird, ByteDance’s BytePlus and Eigen Technologies. Across those roles he has managed over $500M in revenue, led teams of more than 150 people and worked in over 50 countries. He also advises startups and sits on the board of the Startup Moldova Foundation.

David has rolled out two Mobile Driver's License programs in the USA and helped launch the privacy-enhancing international standards on which they are based. He runs the mDL Jumpstart Committee within the Secure Technology Alliance that has published whitepapers, webinars, podcasts, and mdlconnection.com. He is the United States' leading authority on mDL Ecosystems and government digital ID.

David has worked on Mobile Driver's License (mDL) pilots since 2013, including the first pilot in Iowa. He led production rollouts in Utah and California. He is lead author of the Privacy Annex of ISO/IEC 18013-5 and of the definitive articles on using in-person mDL. He has published multiple white papers on identity, wallets, and trust management. He leads the "Jumpstart” mDL Committee within the Secure Technology Alliance.

David has spoken on privacy engineering, scoring identity verification, identity proofing, trusted ecosystems, trustworthy login, mDL & building Mobile ID use cases.

David has 6 identity patents with two pending applications in the areas of remote proofing, selfie-registration, QR code login, and law-enforcement roadside stop. He has led global product development teams implementing trusted digital wallets and credentials.

Preeti Ohri Khemani is Senior Director of the Standards & Regulatory Program at Edge Systems Division in Infineon Technologies. She leads work on security standards and advises on technical regulation for emerging technologies. Her focus areas include PQC, cybersecurity, and physical-AI security.

Preeti brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in semiconductors, IT, and electronics. For nearly two decades, she has led programs that deliver security semiconductor solutions to market, from secure elements to hardware roots of trust. This work has given her deep insight into how silicon security protects payments, identity, and connected devices.

Preeti is Chair of the NFC Forum, FIDO Alliance Board Director, and Director of Eurosmart IoT Committee. On this panel, she will explain how secure elements and GlobalPlatform technologies build trust into the digital wallet.

Victor leads technical architecture for digital credentials on Android at Google. His current work centers on building open, hardware-backed security foundations like Android StrongBox to empower public and private digital wallets across the Android OEM ecosystem. He actively collaborates with international governments, certification bodies, and industry partners to shape the future of high-assurance digital credentials on open mobile platforms. Since joining Google in 2010, Victor has worked across web services, Chrome, ChromeOS, and Android.

Rosario Arjona received the Computer Science Engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree (Hons.) in Microelectronics from the University of Seville, Spain, in 2009 and 2014, respectively. Since September 2009, she has been with the Microelectronics Institute of Seville. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Electronics and Electromagnetism Department. Her background includes post-quantum crypto-biometrics, hardware security, Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and neuro-fuzzy systems.

Jean-Daniel Aussel is Chair of the eID Wallet Task Force at GlobalPlatform and previously served as Security Task Force co-chair between 2015 and 2017. At Thales Digital Identity and Security, Jean-Daniel drives the standardization strategy for all market segments. A longstanding active participant in standardization, he has contributed to several standard organizations for many market segments related to security. President of the Java Card Forum since 2020, Jean-Daniel graduated from McGill University in Montreal and the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon, and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering.

In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Gil is responsible for defining and implementing the technical roadmap for the organization and provides counsel and guidance to the GlobalPlatform Board. He drives forward the development of GlobalPlatform’s specifications and certifications to allow markets and geographies to deploy and manage secure, value-added services. Gil also acts as GlobalPlatform’s central technical liaison point, coordinating the efforts of the technical committees, market task forces and liaisons with industry partners.

In his role at Thales, Gil supports the evolution of the Digital Identity and Security roadmap by enabling open innovation and securing participation in funded innovation projects.

Ms. El Rhomri is the current GlobalPlatform Chair and has served on the GlobalPlatform Board since 2015. In 2017, she was appointed as the GlobalPlatform Secretary and in 2021, she was appointed as the GlobalPlatform Chair.

As Vice President Europe / North Africa at Fime, Ms. El Rhomri is supporting Fime’s growth in this region and the deployment of services across payments, banking, and urban mobility. She is a subject matter expert in testing and certification.

Boris Goranov is founder of Ubiqu, a Delft-based specialist in secure key management for the EUDI Wallet. He has worked in security since 1999, from smart card hacking at TNO to leading PKI and identity work at Siemens. Ubiqu provides WSCA/WSCD, a certified remote QSCD listed under eIDAS Article 30, and wallet key-management technology that lets national wallet schemes reach assurance level High at population scale.

Raphael spent several years at the Swiss government building the national e-ID ecosystem, and now works on digital wallet products at Swisscom, where he operates at the intersection of identity standards, trust infrastructure, and product strategy.

As GlobalPlatform Executive Director, Ana is responsible for driving awareness and accelerating adoption of GlobalPlatform’s specifications globally. She also oversees the organization’s strategy, marketing and business development within key vertical sectors. Before joining she was the EVP and Head of North America for the GSMA, responsible for driving global initiatives such as eSIM, Spectrum, networks (5G, 4G), IoT, RCS, identity and gender diversity. Prior to this role, she led the GSMA global efforts on IoT across different industry verticals. Ana’s career prior to GSMA is focused on strategy, having held positions at BCG, Deloitte Consulting and Accenture. She began her career in private banking at Merrill Lynch in the area of investments in new technologies. Ana is also a proud Board member of the Global Telecoms Women Network where she drives initiatives that promote gender diversity in tech sectors.
