Letter from GlobalPlatform’s Executive Director

Dear GlobalPlatform Member,

As we move into summer, I would like to thank everyone who participated in GlobalPlatform's Cybersecurity Vehicle Forum events in Detroit and Tokyo last month – with special appreciation to Dekra and NTT for hosting the events. These successful gatherings brought together automotive OEMs, suppliers, security experts, and technology providers from around the world to address the growing cybersecurity challenges facing software-defined vehicles.

Building on this momentum, June offers several opportunities for our community to deepen technical expertise, contribute to standards development, and help shape the future of secure digital services.

Secure Element Technical Trainings

This month, we will host two in-person training courses in France designed to equip professionals with practical knowledge of Secure Element technologies. Our training in Gardanne is now at capacity and we encourage anyone interested in CSP training to register for the autumn event in Brussels.

Secure Elements for Developers (Java Card) Training – June 17-19, Paris

The Secure Element for Developers (Java Card) Training provides developers with hands-on experience in secure element architecture, Java Card technology, and GlobalPlatform specifications.

Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) Training – June 30-July 1, Gardanne
At capacity, no longer accepting registrations.

The Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) Training explores the emerging CSP model and its role in developing, certifying, and managing secure applications.

Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) Training – October 13-14, Brussels

This training provides a comprehensive understanding of the GlobalPlatform Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) model and its role as an extension to the GlobalPlatform Card Specification.

Both courses offer valuable opportunities to gain practical skills from industry experts and accelerate deployment of secure solutions. With only a few places remaining in each course, I encourage interested participants to register soon.

GlobalPlatform Technical Week

Full and participating members are eligible and invited to participate in Technical Week, taking place at the Apple offices in Paris, June 22-26. This annual gathering is a cornerstone of our collaborative work, bringing together technical committees and working groups to review ongoing projects, align future workplans, and drive the evolution of GlobalPlatform security technologies.

Digital Wallet Seminar – Submit to Speak & Register

Preparations are well underway for the 4^th annual Digital Wallet Seminar, October 15 in Brussels, Belgium. We look forward to bringing together experts from across the ecosystem to help shape the future of digital wallets and trusted digital services.

We are currently accepting speaking proposals. If you have insights, implementation experiences, case studies, or perspectives that can help advance the conversation, I encourage you to submit your speaking proposal by June 26.
