Mr. Bernabeu is the Technical Advisor for the Innovation Technology and Engineering Department at Thales DIS. In this role, he supports Thales’s marketing and product groups to develop and deploy trusted and convenient digital services.

Mr. Bernabeu was elected as GlobalPlatform’s Technical Director in 2005 and promoted to Chief Technology Officer in 2023. His main role is to drive forward the development of GlobalPlatform’s specifications to deploy secure services. Mr. Bernabeu also acts as GlobalPlatform’s central technical liaison point, coordinating the efforts of the organization’s four technical committees – Secure Element (SE), Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), Trusted Platform Services (TPS) and IoTopia – and the GlobalPlatform Task Forces with external partners.

John Boggie is Head of Cybersecurity Certification in the Central Security Technology Centre at NXP Semiconductors. John and his team are active in defining new certification techniques and aligning emerging technology with certification standards. John is tasked with ensuring that NXP complies with industry security regulations and legal requirements across the world.

Throughout his career, John has worked on a variety of hardware and software security certification projects across many different standards and industries. John has worked with the Cyber Agencies in Asia, America and the EU to help define cybersecurity standards and legislation.

John studied Physics and Electronics at Caledonian University, Hull University and Dundee University.

Francesca Forrestieri is GlobalPlatform’s Automotive Lead and is responsible for connecting the automotive value chain with experts on trusted digital services to address the latest developments in the automotive ecosystem and work to future-proof connected services.

Richard Hayton is on the Board of Directors, and is also the Chair of the TEE Committee at GlobalPlatform where he contributes to the organization’s technical initiatives bringing over 30 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry. Richard is a regular speaker and influencer in the cybersecurity arena.

At Trustonic, Richard’s focus has been on enabling the telecoms industry – manufacturers and mobile operators, the automotive industry as well as application developers, to all benefit from embedded security and strong device identity. Prior to Trustonic, Richard held various roles at Citrix including Chief Architect, Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technology Officer. During 20 years at Citrix, he led projects ranging from embedded software to global enterprise systems, with a focus on user and developer experience.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge University, focusing on identity federation for users, devices and services.

John Krzeszewski is the Functional Excellence Leader of Cybersecurity & Functional Safety for vehicle systems at Eaton. John is chair of the SAE Vehicle Cybersecurity Systems Engineering Committee and co-convenor with ISO on automotive cybersecurity related items, including post-development activities for the ISO/SAE 21434 “Road vehicles: cybersecurity engineering” standard, of which he was a joint working group member and project lead. John was inducted the 2019 "Contributor of the Year" class at SAE, in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of the mobility industry. John began his career at General Motors, where he developed and deployed one of the first automotive telematics systems, which automatically reported steering system usage of police cars and taxicabs in the field. Since then, he has worked on cybersecurity for autonomous vehicles, vehicle networks, medical devices, electrical systems, and associated software. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Phil Lapczynski is a Principal Engineer for Automotive Security at Renesas Electronics America, Inc. He is an active member of the Uptane Advisory Group and contributing member to SAE TEVEES18 – Vehicle Electrical System Security Committee. He leads the Hardware Protected Security Environment API working group within the SAE TEVEES18B - Vehicle Electrical Hardware Security Task Force. Phil is also an adjunct professor at University of Detroit Mercy, creating and teaching VCE5400 Secure Vehicle Embedded Systems course.

Olivier currently serves as Senior R&D Engineer at STMicroelectronics. Within this role he has software architecture responsibilities for the NFC ecosystem and secure elements.

He joined STMicroelectronics in 2003 and since 1999 Olivier has been active in several smart card projects for banking, transport and near field communication.

Olivier joined the GlobalPlatform Board of Directors in 2017 and was appointed as GlobalPlatform Secretary / Treasurer from 2021 – 2022. He now serves as GlobalPlatform’s Vice Chair and Security Task Force Chair.
