As we begin the new year, GlobalPlatform is focused on one clear priority: helping to secure the digital future by enabling trusted, scalable security solutions that support both innovation and regulatory compliance. January marks an important moment to look ahead to our Spring Member Meeting and CRA Conformance Summit, and to the role GlobalPlatform continues to play in enabling practical, scalable digital security worldwide.

A centerpiece of the week will be the CRA Conformance Summit, which will focus on how organizations can demonstrate alignment with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and other emerging regulations. The summit will provide:

• Insights into regulatory expectations and timelines
• Practical guidance on demonstrating conformance using established frameworks
• Opportunities to engage directly with peers, experts, and GlobalPlatform leadership

Advancing SESIP and PSA Certified for Regulatory Conformance

GlobalPlatform remains deeply committed to furthering the recognition and adoption of SESIP and PSA Certified as trusted mechanisms to demonstrate conformance to new and emerging cybersecurity regulations.

This focus is reflected in our upcoming CRA Conformance Summit as well as our active participation across major industry and regulatory events:

• EU Cyber Acts Conference – where GlobalPlatform will participate as a sponsor, exhibitor, and speaker, engaging directly with policymakers and industry leaders.
• Embedded World – where we will speak on practical security and conformance challenges in embedded systems.

Through these activities, we continue to advocate for practical, globally recognized security evaluation approaches that reduce fragmentation and accelerate compliance.

GlobalPlatform Training in 2026

Training remains a critical part of our mission to build security expertise across the ecosystem. In 2026, we are kicking off the year with our Secure Element for Developers (Java Card) training, January 28-30, Paris, France. This training will equip developers with the knowledge and hands-on skills to design, build, and test secure Java Card applications.

We are also planning to hold trainings on SESIP, CSP and SE for EUDI. Please register your interest here.
