As we approach the end of 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an extraordinary year of collaboration, innovation, and progress across the GlobalPlatform community. Your dedication and expertise continue to drive the security standards that power trusted digital solutions worldwide.

Join industry experts for a virtual discussion of latest developments in automotive cybersecurity and explore how GlobalPlatform's standards support the future of secure, connected vehicles. Sign up here.

Java Card Forum Webinar – Tuesday, December 9 – 9:00 CET or 17-18:00 CET
GlobalPlatform CTO, Gil Bernabeu, will share key insights from our new Secure Elements for Developers (Java Card) training program, developed in collaboration with Oracle. The session will also cover the Secure Element roadmap, including the CSP Specification, SAM, Automotive Configuration, and Card Specification 2.4. Two sessions available: 9:00–10:00 CET or 17:00–18:00 CET.

Advisory Council Meeting – Wednesday, December 10 – 15:00-18:00 CET
Our Advisory Council will convene to review 2025 achievements and help shape GlobalPlatform's strategic priorities for 2026. This meeting is essential in ensuring our work continues to meet the evolving needs of our ecosystem. All members are invited to attend.

Save the Date: Spring Member Meeting – Bangkok, Thailand - April 20-24, 2026
Mark your calendars for our Spring Member Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand. This week will feature comprehensive committee meetings across all technical areas, as well as a special forum on SESIP and PSA Certified for CRA Compliance — bringing together the security evaluation community for in-depth discussions on certification advancements, emerging requirements, and collaborative opportunities. More details will be shared in the coming days. We look forward to welcoming you to Bangkok for this important gathering.

Member Spotlight: Trustonic at Automotive World Japan
Trustonic will be at Automotive World in Tokyo, January 21–23, showcasing the latest in automotive cybersecurity, including their PQC-ready TEE, Kinibi 700. Claire Maslen (SVP Commercial & Operations), Andrew Till (General Manager, Secure Platform) and Renata Naurzalieva & Misaki Furukawa (Business Development) are attending to discuss how hardware-backed security and trusted execution environments underpin resilient, future-ready connected vehicles.
