GlobalPlatform Launches Smart Card Specification Training
03 November, 2008 – GlobalPlatform, the international smart card specifications association, has launched a new, client-customized card technology training offering. The course has been designed to improve industry knowledge of the smart card specifications available, their function and capabilities, and the benefits gained from implementing standardized technology. This is the first time that GlobalPlatform has leveraged its technical expertise on interoperability standards into a tailored, client-focused training program.
The standard two day GlobalPlatform Card Specification Training Class comprehensively covers GlobalPlatform’s role within the industry and its suite of specifications, in addition to a thorough training on ‘core’ card specifications. The content is then uniquely tailored to concentrate on the specific elements of GlobalPlatform card technology, and how it can be implemented, relevant to the audience and the specific markets in which it operates. The program can also incorporate GlobalPlatform’s forthcoming technical releases, including the Universal Integrated Circuit Card configuration which will be available later this year.
Training will be led by experienced instructors from GlobalPlatform member organizations, who have been carefully selected after demonstrating a detailed understanding of GlobalPlatform technology and its real-world application.

The GlobalPlatform Card Specification Training Class can be delivered in any location globally. It is fully customized to ensure that the program uniquely meets an organization’s business needs and is directly applicable to its products and solutions. Depending on content, the training may be delivered over one, two or three days. GlobalPlatform members are entitled to a significant discount.
