As GlobalPlatform Executive Director, Ana is responsible for driving awareness and accelerating adoption of GlobalPlatform’s specifications globally. She also oversees the organization’s strategy, marketing and business development within key vertical sectors. Before joining she was the EVP and Head of North America for the GSMA, responsible for driving global initiatives such as eSIM, Spectrum, networks (5G, 4G), IoT, RCS, identity and gender diversity. Prior to this role, she led the GSMA global efforts on IoT across different industry verticals. Ana’s career prior to GSMA is focused on strategy, having held positions at BCG, Deloitte Consulting and Accenture. She began her career in private banking at Merrill Lynch in the area of investments in new technologies. Ana is also a proud Board member of the Global Telecoms Women Network where she drives initiatives that promote gender diversity in tech sectors.
Dr. Dennis Kengo Oka is an automotive cybersecurity expert with more than 15 years of global experience in the automotive industry. He received his Ph.D. in automotive security focusing on solutions for the connected car from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. In the past, Dennis has worked with Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden where he bootstrapped automotive security research for remote diagnostics and over-the-air updates on vehicles. He has also worked for the Bosch Group in Japan serving both Japanese and global customers. Specifically, Dennis co-launched the automotive security practice (ESCRYPT) in Japan and was the Head of Engineering and Consulting Asia-Pacific. Dennis has also been involved in several automotive standardization activities, including the development of fuzz testing guidelines and cybersecurity testing frameworks. As a Senior Principal Automotive Security Strategist & Executive Advisor at Synopsys, he focuses on security solutions for the automotive software development lifecycle and supply chain. Dennis is also on the Advisory Board for Block Harbor, an automotive cybersecurity company based in Michigan, USA. Dennis has over 70 publications consisting of conference papers, journal articles and books, and is a frequent public speaker at international automotive and cybersecurity conferences and events. His latest published book is "Building Secure Cars: Assuring the Automotive Software Development Lifecycle" (Wiley, 2021).
Francesca Forrestieri is GlobalPlatform’s Automotive Lead and is responsible for connecting the automotive value chain with experts on trusted digital services to address the latest developments in the automotive ecosystem and work to future-proof connected services.
Mr. Bernabeu is the Technical Advisor for the Innovation Technology and Engineering Department at Thales DIS. In this role, he supports Thales’s marketing and product groups to develop and deploy trusted and convenient digital services.
Mr. Bernabeu was elected as GlobalPlatform’s Technical Director in 2005 and promoted to Chief Technology Officer in 2023. His main role is to drive forward the development of GlobalPlatform’s specifications to deploy secure services. Mr. Bernabeu also acts as GlobalPlatform’s central technical liaison point, coordinating the efforts of the organization’s four technical committees – Secure Element (SE), Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), Trusted Platform Services (TPS) and IoTopia – and the GlobalPlatform Task Forces with external partners.
Jeremy currently serves as Director, Engineering at Qualcomm, working within the Secure Systems Group. He is responsible for architecture and development of software focused around secure platforms and NFC. In previous roles at Qualcomm, he was the lead security architect and software lead for an NFC CLF development, and has worked extensively on telephony aspects of both Android and Windows-based mobile systems. Jeremy was also an early participant in developing the GSMA NFC Handset Requirements and Testbook.
Jeremy joined the GlobalPlatform Board of Directors in 2016, and is Chair of the TPS Committee.
John Boggie is Head of Cybersecurity Certification in the Central Security Technology Centre at NXP Semiconductors. John and his team are active in defining new certification techniques and aligning emerging technology with certification standards. John is tasked with ensuring that NXP complies with industry security regulations and legal requirements across the world.
Throughout his career, John has worked on a variety of hardware and software security certification projects across many different standards and industries. John has worked with the Cyber Agencies in Asia, America and the EU to help define cybersecurity standards and legislation.
John studied Physics and Electronics at Caledonian University, Hull University and Dundee University.
Kiseung Sung has more than 15 years of experience in the Automotive and Cyber Security market, worked extensively on internal projects related to Cockpit System & ADAS and MaaS from Germany, UK and Singapore. He is now working for Thales and responsible for the Automotive and IoT market.
Kenji Takahashi is responsible for Sales and account management at Trustonic in Japan.
Trustonic has been providing its Secure Platform in Automotive industry as well as Telecom and IoT.
The Trustonic hardware-backed security platform is embedded in 2 billion devices, including SmartPhones, IoT devices and vehicles.
Kenji joined Trustonic in 2021, and has been supporting customers in Japan.
Masahiro Goto is the AUTOSAR Regional Spokesperson for Japan and he works for DENSO CORPORATION as Project Director.
Currently, he is working on standardization activities where he takes the position as Chairperson of E/E components and general aspects, also known as ISO/TC22/SC32.
He has extensive experience in the field of distributed control systems both on hardware and software aspects and continues to pursue those topics.
Since the automotive software field is changing drastically using very high computing ability processors, his motivation is to prepare and provide enabled technologies for realizing Software Defined Architecture like basic software and middleware.
Olivier currently serves as Senior R&D Engineer at STMicroelectronics. Within this role he has software architecture responsibilities for the NFC ecosystem and secure elements.
He joined STMicroelectronics in 2003 and since 1999 Olivier has been active in several smart card projects for banking, transport and near field communication.
Olivier joined the GlobalPlatform Board of Directors in 2017 and was appointed as GlobalPlatform Secretary / Treasurer from 2021 – 2022. He now serves as GlobalPlatform’s Vice Chair and Security Task Force Chair.
Rachel Menda-Shabat has over two decades of security product development and certification expertise. As Winbond's Director of Certification, she's led multiple certifications of Winbond Secure Flash products, including Common Criteria EAL5+ and FIPS 140-3.
Actively contributing to GlobalPlatform, particularly in the SESIP working group, she played a pivotal role in mapping SESIP to automotive standards like ISO21434.
In 2021, she received the GlobalPlatform Star Reward for her efforts in integrating SESIP with the NIST database.
Beyond this, she's involved with international security entities such as Eurosmart, ISCI-WG1, CCUF, and ISO.
Takahide has 31 years’ experience in the industry. For 20 years, he worked in chip design, including HDD and GPS. He started his testing and certification career in 2009, before joining Fime in 2015. In this time, he has significantly supported the revenue growth and expansion of Fime Japan. He was fundamental to Fime's success in bringing the first NFC Forum certification services to Japan. Since 2022 September, he has been elected as a Chair of the NFC Forum Japan Task Force. The group works with stakeholders in the regional market to overcome the challenges of migration.
At Fime, he works with device manufacturers, acquirers, PSPs, card issuers and local authorities to enable innovation.
Prior to joining Fime, he held multiple positions at Sony, where he specialized in NFC, ISO and EMVCo.
