I hope this message finds you well. As the season brings renewed energy, it also presents opportunities to advance our shared priorities in digital security.
With that in mind, I look forward to connecting with many of you at our upcoming Technical Week taking place June 23–27 in Grenoble, France. This member-only event is a cornerstone of our collaborative work—where we align technical priorities, review progress, and shape the roadmap for the year ahead. Full and participating members are strongly encouraged to attend. Please review the meeting schedule and register for the sessions you plan to join.
We’re also proud to co-organize the inaugural Global Digital Collaboration event on July 1–2 in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the agenda, GlobalPlatform will lead several sessions focused on securing the digital wallet—a critical enabler of trust in today’s digital ecosystem. Looking ahead to the fall, please note the revised dates for our fall SE for EUDI training, now scheduled for October 14–15 in Brussels. This will be followed by our annual seminar on October 16, which is evolving to reflect the broader role digital wallets play across identity, payments and digital currencies. Now titled the Digital Wallet Seminar, the event will bring together leading voices from EU institutions, member states, and the private sector. View the training and seminar details.
Last month, we held successful Cybersecurity Vehicle Forum events in Shanghai and Yokohama, bringing together key stakeholders to explore the evolving cyber security needs of the automotive sector. You can access the event summaries and presentations here.
We also recently published a blog by our CTO, Gil Bernabeu, highlighting upcoming enhancements to the GlobalPlatform SE Specification. These updates incorporate critical innovations for the financial services ecosystem—ranging from digital wallet enablement and support for payment card evolution to strengthened cybersecurity protocols. As part of this effort, GlobalPlatform is inviting financial services stakeholders to collaborate on the update of the financial configuration. Read the full blog here.
