Letter from GlobalPlatform’s Executive Director

Dear GlobalPlatform Members,

It was wonderful being with many of you at the Fall Members Meeting in Porto. We held many constructive meetings and engaged in valuable member networking.

We were pleased to hold a joint meeting with ENISA where we discussed among many topics of collaboration - EU certification schemes, Secure Application for Mobile (SAM), Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP), PQC and SBOM. We also welcomed presentations from Fernando Moreira from the Portuguese Government on EUDI wallet deployment and Filipe Jones Mourão from DGCONNECT on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). 

A full summary of the committees and task forces will be provided on the Advisory Council Meeting on December 11^th. This virtual meeting will provide a year-end brief on GlobalPlatform's strategy and membership, updates from Committees and Task Forces, and an overview of 2025. Register here.

SAVE the DATE: Spring Members Meeting

The Spring Members Meeting is scheduled for March 31 to April 4^th in New Orleans, LA, USA. The meeting will include a Financial Services Workshop on the first day to review emerging requirements and new trends in the sector (e.g. digital currencies, in-car payments, mobile wallets and potential use of SAM for financial services). Mark your calendar.
