Monetech Becomes GlobalPlatform’s Latest Consultant Member
23 October 2008 – GlobalPlatform, the international smart card specifications body, has welcomed another Consultant Member with the addition of France-based consultancy, Monetech. The company focuses on innovative projects based on smart cards and secured transactions applied to payment, public transport and telecoms. Monetech provides bespoke assistance to its customers from initial project development stages through to deployment.
As a Consultant Member, Monetech is entitled to participate in GlobalPlatform’s Advisory Council and its Mobile and Government Task Forces. This allows the company to contribute to debates about the priorities and activities of the association, as well as offering a platform for Monetech to provide on-going market and application specific guidance to GlobalPlatform’s members.
Director of Monetech, Henry Castellan, says: “I believe GlobalPlatform offers the technological passport for future smart applications as it facilitates the free transfer of applications between markets. To qualify for Consultant Membership, firms must only employ one or two consultants, who cannot have full or part time employment at a publicly held company, government agency or educational institute.
