GlobalPlatform To Hold a One Day Card Specifications Technology Training Session
24 March, 2009 – GlobalPlatform, the international specification body for smart card infrastructure, will hold a one day card specifications technology training session in the Le Meridian Hotel Vienna, Austria on Thursday 23 April 2009.
Led by an experienced GlobalPlatform instructor, the training has been designed to improve industry knowledge of the smart card specifications available, their function and capabilities, and the benefits gained from implementing standardized technology. The session will cover GlobalPlatform’s role within the industry and its suite of specifications, provide a thorough training on ‘core’ card specifications and exclusively outline GlobalPlatform’s forthcoming technical releases.
To be held the day following SIMposium 2009 (21-22 April, Vienna) to accommodate the delegates that are attending this important industry gathering, the training session is available to GlobalPlatform members and non-members at a cost of US $995 and US $1,495 respectively. Only a limited number of places are available to ensure a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
Gil Bernabeu, Technical Director of GlobalPlatform, comments: “GlobalPlatform’s role within the smart card market becomes evermore vital as markets converge to deliver end-user business models which require neutral, scalable and sustainable infrastructures. With is cross-market member representation and alliances with many technical and business associations, we have created an open training session that details exactly what GlobalPlatform Card Specifications offer and the specific benefits that can be achieved by implementing its royalty-free technology. We anticipate that this will be the first of many open training sessions that GlobalPlatform will hold globally, and look forward to welcoming both members and non-members to the course.”
In addition to its open training session, GlobalPlatform also offers a bespoke program which is fully customized to ensure that it uniquely meets an organization's business needs and is directly applicable to its products and services. Depending on the required content, the training can take place over one, two or three days, and can be delivered in any location globally.
