GlobalPlatform Instructor-led Training Sessions to Take Place in Hong Kong
15 June 2015 – GlobalPlatform, the association which standardizes the management of applications on secure chip technology, will bring a highly qualified and specially trained instructor to Hong Kong to host its next card specification and contactless training sessions at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, from 24-26 August 2015. The two-day card technology training course and one-day contactless training course, both available to GlobalPlatform members and non-members, are designed to improve industry knowledge of GlobalPlatform Card Specifications, their capabilities and functions.
The card technology training course, taking place from 24-25 August, provides an in-depth explanation of the GlobalPlatform Card Specifications, and addresses secure channels, security domains and application programming interfaces. Over the course of the session delegates will develop a comprehensive understanding of how GlobalPlatform Specifications can support recognized business models.
The one-day contactless training session, taking place on 26 August, will educate participants on the role of GlobalPlatform Specifications in relation to contactless-enabled services on mobile platforms. Topics to be covered include trusted service manager (TSM) messaging, the various secure element architectures and service lifecycle management. Delegates are advised to attend the two-day card technology course first to gain familiarity with the GlobalPlatform Specifications before attending the more advanced contactless session.
Both sessions offer delegates an opportunity to have ongoing Q&A with a GlobalPlatform subject matter expert, enriching the experience and ensuring maximum value for those who attend.

We took the decision to bring our training to Hong Kong once again as a result of overwhelming demand from the region for this specialist knowledge.”

The two-day Instructor-led card specification training session is open to both GlobalPlatform members and non-members at a fee of US $1,595 and US $2,195 respectively. Organizations sending two students will receive a discount of US $200 per student. Organizations sending three or more students will receive a discount of US $350 per student.
The Instructor-led GlobalPlatform contactless training session is also open to both GlobalPlatform members and non-members at a fee of US $995 and US $1,295 respectively. Organizations sending two students will receive a discount of US $100 per student. Organizations sending three of more students will receive a discount of US $200 per student.
