ECSEC Laboratory, as an expert in Japan's security evaluation field since its inception, is accredited by NITE (National Institute of Technology and Evaluation)/IPA (Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan) in Japan and by NIST's NVLAP in the United States based on ISO/IEC 17025. It conducts evaluations of IT products based on ISO/IEC 15408 (Evaluation criteria for IT security), FIPS 140-3 and JIS X 19790 (ISO/IEC 19790) compliant cryptographic module and cryptographic algorithm implementation testing, as well as vulnerability assessments for network equipment, software, and LSI devices.

Furthermore, in recent years, we have leveraged the technology and experience accumulated through our evaluations to offer our proprietary vulnerability analysis, PSA Certified™ evaluations, SESIP evaluations, and security consulting services.

We also began accepting evaluations for Japan Cyber STAR (JC-STAR): “Labeling Scheme based on Japan Cyber-Security Technical Assessment Requirements” for IoT Devices starting in March 2025.
