Dominic Rizzo
Chair of the Trusted Open Source Silicon Task Force
zeroRISC
Dominic Rizzo is the founder and CEO of zeroRISC and the Chair of GlobalPlatform’s Trusted Open Source Silicon Task Force, where he helps advance practical, ecosystem-wide approaches to trustworthy and adoptable open-source silicon. He founded the OpenTitan project in 2018 and led it through the project’s first silicon tapeout in 2023, demonstrating that open, transparent Root of Trust designs can be silicon-proven, production-oriented and commercially valuable.
Dominic’s work centers on strengthening security “below the operating system” by making trusted foundations more transparent, verifiable, and broadly reusable. At zeroRISC, he focuses on pairing open silicon foundations with cloud-backed services that support trustworthy device management from design through deployment. Within GlobalPlatform, he is helping convene stakeholders around a shared path for trusted open source silicon—supporting ecosystem growth and engagement with standards and certification expectations to make secure, interoperable foundations easier to adopt at scale.
