GlobalPlatform Announces New Board Members

[October 31, 2024] – GlobalPlatform, the standard for secure digital services and devices, announced the results of its election for six open seats on the Board of Directors for the October 2025 to September 2026 term. Having received a majority of member votes, the following candidates have been elected to the GlobalPlatform Board and will help guide the future direction and strategy of the standards organization:

• Jürgen Hirschinger, Director, Head of Security Analysis, Giesecke+Devrient GmbH
• Eikazu Niwano, Research Professor, Secure Platform Laboratories, NTT Corporation
• Jeremy O’Donoghue, Director of Engineering, Qualcomm
• Scott Migaldi, Director of Standards and Industry Alliances, T-Mobile
• Richard Hayton, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, Trustonic
• Marc Kekicheff, Senior Business Leader of Chip Innovation, Visa

They join the current board members, including:

• Rob Coombs, Director, Architecture Technology Group, ARM
• Stéphanie El Rhomri, Vice President of Product and Strategy, FIME
• Sebastian Hans, Principal Member, Technical Staff, Oracle
• Olivier Van Nieuwenhuyze, Senior Manager, Security Lobbying and Standardization, STMicroelectronics
• Guillaume Phan, eSW Design Authority, Mobile Connectivity Solutions, Thales
