GlobalPlatform Secures a New Member in GALITT
05 May 2009 – GlobalPlatform, the international specification body for smart card infrastructure , has announced GALITT as the latest arrival to its growing membership base. GALITT, a specialist in card systems and secure electronic transactions, has joined GlobalPlatform to gain an insight into the organization’s compliance program activity.
Formed as a result of a merger between KaSYS, COGESYS and CARD.de, GALITT has extensive experience in testing GlobalPlatform cards through its work with the US Department of Defense on a test platform for its Common Access Card. By becoming a GlobalPlatform member, GALITT identifies that it will be in a strong position to support a range of worldwide implementations based on GlobalPlatform technology.
Participating in GlobalPlatform activity as an Observer Member, GALITT representatives will have a voice in the association’s Advisory Council meetings, providing the company with an opportunity to influence the direction of GlobalPlatform initiatives, and network with the smart card business and technical community to discuss the latest industry issues and trends. Additionally, GALITT will be able to play an active role in the organization’s Mobile Task Force.
