GlobalPlatform will be setting the stage for the discussion of digital identity and more during its eID Wallet Seminar on April 26 (Brussels and Virtual, 9am-5pm CET).

Industry leaders will be demonstrating the importance of high security for eID schemes and the different ways that GlobalPlatform technologies can support this requirement across EU member states.

Attendees will also receive high-level insight into the importance of certification for eID Wallets and discuss how this will be achieved in the near future.

Ms. El Rhomri is Chair of the TEE Compliance Group, and has served on the GlobalPlatform Board since 2015. In 2017 she was appointed to GlobalPlatform Secretary and in 2021, she was appointed as GlobalPlatform  Chair.

As Vice President, Services at FIME, Ms. El Rhomri is responsible for developing new services, understanding international technology trends and ensuring alignment of FIME’s NFC and payments offering.

He is in charge of the worldwide technical and innovation strategic plan and overall engineering coordination. His ambition is notably to identify and implement new technologies that can improve Thales DIS solutions and services while fostering the development of an open innovation culture.

Prior to this current role, Benoît held several strategic positions, as Vice President for 5G, Connectivity and Embedded Solutions, machine-to-machine (M2M), Strategy & Development for the Telecommunications Business.

Herve is embedded Securement Element (SE) Product  Line Manager for the consumer electronic market. 

With the help of his team, they are developing the Thales embedded SE products roadmap to accompany device makers migration to digitalized services. 

Prior to this role, Herve held several positions in this industry, starting his career at Innovatron (inventor of the smart card). Then he joined Thales in different positions such as standardization representative, technical marketing and product manager. Always at the cutting edge of the market trends and innovation, he actively contributed to the company’s transition from removable smart cards to embedded products.

Sławomir Górniak, CISSP, CISM, is a telecommunications engineer focused on network security. Since 2008 he works at ENISA (EU Agency for Cybersecurity), where he has been involved in the areas of standardization, certification and electronic identification. He is a coordinator and co-author of multiple ENISA reports covering various aspects of information security. Currently he is responsible for the Agency’s actions in the area of standardization and assures its liaisons with Standards Developing Organizations.

Mr. Bernabeu is the Technical Advisor for the Standardization and Technology Department at Thales. In this role, he supports Thales’s marketing and product groups to deploy trusted and convenient digital services.

Mr. Bernabeu was elected as GlobalPlatform’s Technical Director in 2005. His main role is to drive forward the development of GlobalPlatform’s specifications to deploy secure services. Mr. Bernabeu also acts as GlobalPlatform’s central technical liaison point, coordinating the efforts of the organization’s four technical committees – Secure Element (SE), Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), Trusted Platform Services (TPS) and IoTopia – and the GlobalPlatform Task Forces with external partners.

As GlobalPlatform Executive Director, Ana is responsible for driving awareness and accelerating adoption of GlobalPlatform’s specifications globally. She also oversees the organization’s strategy, marketing and business development within key vertical sectors. Before joining she was the EVP and Head of North America for the GSMA, responsible for driving global initiatives such as eSIM, Spectrum, networks (5G, 4G), IoT, RCS, identity and gender diversity. Prior to this role, she led the GSMA global efforts on IoT across different industry verticals. Ana’s career prior to GSMA is focused on strategy, having held positions at BCG, Deloitte Consulting and Accenture. She began her career in private banking at Merrill Lynch in the area of investments in new technologies. Ana is also a proud Board member of the Global Telecoms Women Network where she drives initiatives that promote gender diversity in tech sectors.
