Over the past few months three new member organizations have joined GlobalPlatform: Dekra, Google and Woven by Toyota. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome them to GlobalPlatform and we look forward to working will you in advancing secure device and service solutions. Additionally, DNP has upgraded to participating membership and is a new member to the SE Committee.
eID Wallet Seminar and Training, October 8-10
Planning for our upcoming eID Seminar and Training is well underway. The events will be held at The Comet Louise in Brussels, Belgium, with the training taking place on Oct. 8-9 and the seminar planned for Oct. 10. We are in the process of finalizing the agenda and are excited to welcome speakers from BSI, ENISA, Samsung, SPRIN-D, Thales and more. Board nomination process
Nominations for open board of director seats began on August 1.
Each Full Member may nominate one employee from their company to be considered for election to the board. All nominations must be sent to the Secretariat at secretariat@globalplatform.org by 30 August; nominations received after this date cannot be accepted. Membership levels other than Full must upgrade to Full Membership before August 30th to nominate a candidate from their company. Refer to the recent email from the GlobalPlatform Secretariat for more details.
SESIP workshop and profile for ECN
At the end of August, Gil and I will travel to Beijing, China to support a SESIP workshop that is taking place in partnership with DPLS Labs. We are looking forward to meeting with a number of our member companies based in China to explore the current priorities within China and the broader region.
I would also like to note that in July we published a SESIP profile for Edge Compute Node (ECN). An Edge Compute Node (ECN) is a device located between a network of IoT leaf devices (an IoT network) and an IoT Edge Cloud. This profile is intended to be compatible with the Common Criteria Edge Compute Node Protection Profile. Access latest specifications.
In closing, I wanted to share that we are finalizing this year’s annual report, highlighting our work and key achievements for the past year. The annual report will be shared later this month as an accompaniment to the yearly membership renewal letters. We look forward to our continued work together to meet tomorrow’s digital security requirements.
