It additionally demonstrates the organization’s commitment to furthering education concerning the benefits of open and interoperable specifications and advancing deployment of its technology in a region where many of our members are based. We look forward to working closely with the Smart Card Federation of China and to welcoming delegates from many countries.”

Frank Xu, Executive Director of the Smart Card Federation of China, adds: “ China is home to a very dynamic smart card industry, with numerous deployments throughout the country and some of the world’s leading technology vendors originating from, and based, here. These events aim to showcase some of the success stories and best practice approaches adopted by regional and international industry leaders, so that others can learn from their experience. We have already secured some very compelling speakers from GlobalPlatform’s wide membership base and with GlobalPlatform’s continued support, we aim to build on the reputation of both events from past years to make the 2008 events the most successful to date.”
