Letter from GlobalPlatform’s Executive Director

Dear GlobalPlatform Members,

As we move into the second half of the year, I want to thank all of you for the continued collaboration and momentum that drives GlobalPlatform forward. It was a pleasure to see so many of you at Technical Week in Grenoble last month. Your active participation and valuable contributions are what make this community so impactful.

Technical Week Highlights
GlobalPlatform’s recent Technical Week centered on preparing our technologies for the future — with a strong focus on crypto-agility to support post-quantum cryptography, continued development of SE specifications for the EUDI Wallet (including SAM and CSP), and leveraging the SESIP methodology to help stakeholders navigate emerging regulations like the Cyber Resilience Act. We also made important progress in our Trusted Environment & Services work, including efforts to advance micro-TEE and attestation, and strengthened partnerships with automotive members to ensure our technologies meet the sector’s specific needs. These conversations highlighted GlobalPlatform’s unique ability to unite stakeholders around shared priorities and deliver pragmatic, scalable security solutions.

A New Chapter: "Securing the Digital Future"
As part of our ongoing evolution, GlobalPlatform has adopted a new tagline: Securing the Digital Future. This phrase captures our organization’s enduring commitment to bring proven, scalable security technologies to every industry and device.

We’ve updated our website and presentation template to reflect this refreshed positioning. Please take a moment to review and begin using the updated materials.

Reminder: EUDI Training and Digital Wallet Seminar
As previously mentioned, our fall SE for EUDI training is now scheduled for October 14–15 in Brussels. This will be followed by our annual seminar on October 16, which is evolving to reflect the broader role digital wallets play across identity, payments and digital currencies. Now titled the Digital Wallet Seminar, the event will bring together leading voices from EU institutions, member states, and the private sector. View the training and seminar details.

Save the Date: Fall Member Meeting in Málaga
Our Fall Member Meeting will take place November 17-21 in Málaga, Spain. This event will bring our community together to continue advancing our collective work, and will also feature a roundtable on Hardware Security Modules (HSM) as well as an Attestation Workshop. Both of these events will be open to members and non-members alike.
