Payment Processing Leader First Data Joins GlobalPlatform

07 March 2012 – GlobalPlatform, the organization which standardizes the management of applications related to secure chip technology, has announced its newest Observer Member, First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing.

First Data's participation in GlobalPlatform activities will enable it to contribute to the association's market-specific task forces, where First Data can offer extensive experience in payment innovation.
