GlobalPlatform Welcomes New Participating Member Beijing Beanpod Technology
04 April 2016 – GlobalPlatform, the organization which standardizes the management of applications on secure chip technology, has welcomed Beijing Beanpod Technology as its latest Participating Member.
The Chinese company provides mobile security services and solutions based on trusted execution environment (TEE) technology. As a Participating Member it will engage in the association’s task forces and has elected to contribute to the GlobalPlatform Device Committee. One of this committee’s work priorities is to define an open security architecture for consumer and connected devices based on TEE technology. This enables the development and deployment of trusted applications from multiple service providers.
“The TEE is integral to our solutions and given GlobalPlatform’s key role in the development of an open and evaluated TEE ecosystem it was a natural decision to join the association,” comments Chen Sun, Senior Product Manager at Beanpod Technology. “We look forward to consolidating our knowledge of GlobalPlatform’s TEE Specifications and taking advantage of opportunities to cooperate with our partners and fellow GlobalPlatform members.”
